A note to all teachers
I take this opportunity to convey my thoughts on the minds of today’s teachers by first drawing an image, a simple sketch of a real teacher.
The great speed with which we wish to evolve and are trying hard to evolve, I think is leaving loop holes. With no luxury of time, we are unable to Introspect. We are raging ahead juggling the needs of our life and of the hour.
I hence request all of us to spend a few minutes each day Introspecting and meditating , evaluating ourselves asking ourselves who we are and what we are doing. Are we really achieving what we wish and planned for and are we doing justice to ourselves. For those all around us or are we running ahead no matter what?
I think it is time now as will always be when we need to stop momentarily and look deep within ourselves before we move on…
We are teachers and we as teaches play a very important role no matter where and what we are doing, apart from in the lives of children’s parents and families that we touch and support, but also in molding the youth who are the bearers of the torch, the flame of life.
Simple life leading qualities, time management skills, professionalism, good behavior and above all good character make us true metal, make us role models and this is the need of the hour.
We need to be people who are looked up at, respected , loved and looked at with gratitude and high esteem. We need to do what ever we do with a smile. We need to learn to enjoy life and have fun. We need to bring in passion which will bring out ones strengths and weaken out weaknesses. And one should always dare to learn
Happiness, Passion and Motivation are by far more contagious than a cough
I request all to look within yourself and find the good within. To nurture the real human. An essence of kindness love, care, thankfulness and gratitude. Showing our innate qualities to the young and adults around.
That will be the beginning of a true leader, a real teacher and a great personality.
I assure you that this is all it takes to be good and that we all have it in us or we would not be teachers.
So let’s take an oath of being good beings doing right by one and all, no matter what
and that we will do everything with 100% positive intention and that we will be the teacher our children want us to be. We should come forward and make an effort to teach as the student wants to be taught
be the teacher a child remembers all their lives, the one person, families of our taught remember for ever, be the one that every child holds in their heart. Be the mirror of a child’s smile, be the one source of strength, character, love and light. The one that every child grows to be and prove that the literates of the 21st century will be those who not only can read and write but also can learn, unlearn and relearn.
